The Ori Tahiti classes at the CAPF was an excellent experience for me. I will definitely be back. Mamie Louise and her crew should be commended with the openess they have to share their culture, to help ensure that non tahitians learn the value and the importance to present tahitian culture through dance correctly and with authenticity. It is a positive step that the illustrious CAPF has opened its doors to non tahitians. An event that all who love Ori Tahiti should partake in while the doors remain open. Dont miss out!

I had an awesome experience. haven't danced much for about 2 years and it was so refreshing to get back into it. it was an honor to learn from mami and vanina :) and meet so many sweet girls from all over the world who we still keep in contact with. ukulele class was a blast! so fun :). drumming with hanz was cool. advice would be to definitely condition yourself before you go...don't wait until you get there...you need to have conditioned legs or you're gonna hurt the whole time! either, way, it was one of the best and most reviving experiences i've had in a while. thank you so much to all those who made it possible. please give my aloha to the gang at the conservatoire!

Anyway, I would be happy to share my thoughts: I had a great time at the Ori Tahiti Master Course! Everyone was so welcoming, and I learned so much! The thing that helped me out the most was learning the actual Tahitian names for each dance move. This will definitely be beneficial especially if I ever teach dancing. Of course, I met a lot of great dancers who I am now proud to call my friends!
